Well, here we are. About to tell you the same story you have heard a zillion times this year with most every business you’ve interacted with.
Due to a combination of extraordinary sales volume, production delays and ongoing labor shortages we are running 6+ weeks behind on our installs.
The trades are suffering. Skilled laborers are in shortage. Suppliers are not able to estimate when materials will arrive, but we are able to get the materials we need. Our window and door supplier is delayed, but fulfilling all orders amidst the delays they are seeing on their side. If you chose a painted exterior lead times have more than tripled from our supplier. But they are coming in.
In our office we have pivoted so so many times. We have committed to updating each customer in our pipeline each month. We have doubled the amount of time we spend on production – auditing our deliveries, visiting multiple supply yards daily for additional materials needed and calling at least weekly to inquire on roofing and siding materials. Even as supply houses continue to increase their prices every few weeks we are not passing those costs on to you.
Obviously some jobs can be completed in a day, and other jobs may take a full week to complete. While we are happy to estimate the amount of customers ahead of you in line for install we are just estimating.
