Friday Things -Behind the Scenes Look at our Week_Feb 12 2021

What is that word again? Oh yes. UFFDA

Can you think of a better word to describe the last few weeks? Me neither. UFFDA. Today our sweet sweet girl got on the school bus and went to school. For the first time in nearly a year, she is returning to full-time traditional learning.

Business is always slow in December and January. Always. There are holidays to celebrate and it is cold and while you may become aware that your windows are super drafty, you might care less because your attention and your energy is elsewhere. Historically we have had home shows nearly every weekend from January - April. Those shows have created so much activity and taken so much energy but not always the sales that we hoped for. So are we missing those shows? I don’t think so, no.

Our office is taking this opportunity to tighten up and re-focus some of those truly behind the scenes processes that no one notices… but they are those things that will make all the difference when we return to normal. I liken these tasks to cleaning out the gasket in your front washing machine or matching up lids to containers on all your plastic (Steve did that last weekend). It’s fine if they aren’t done, no one knows if you did it, but these aren’t the sort of tasks you MAKE time for, you do them because you already HAVE the time.

This past year uncertainty seemed to be in charge of everything; but we remained in charge of how we interacted with and took care of our customers. For our efforts, we have tripled our online reviews and we once again earned the “Best Window Company in Bloomington” award.

If you haven’t had a chance to leave a review for us, we’d love to hear from you.

The cold snap is here. This is the period of time that the rest of the country thinks defines us. It has been below zero all week. People are cold, houses are cold and indoor humidity is freezing on windows. This is normal. Read our blog about it here.

Changes are coming to our website - starting with the entry door product page. It is fun to increase the amount of information we share on our awesome products.

Last but not least, this week’s cheeseburger is not a cheeseburger at all. It’s a salad. Seriously. A salad. That tastes like a Big Mac. It’s super delicious.

Enjoy the weekend. Stay safe. Stay careful. Be hopeful of the good that is to come. Seek the light.
